THOSE AREN’T YOUR MEMORIES,
THEY’RE SOMEBODY ELSE’S

The title of the project is a quote taken from the movie “Blade Runner”, a cinematic vision of a future where human clones called replicants are used to serve in Earth’s off-world colonies. In order to better keep them and their ambitions under control, replicants are equipped with artificial implanted memories. They don’t know about and thus take this memories as true ones, as something they experienced and they believe in.

The series results from printing and rephotographing photographs from my archive several times. The images are blurred like a very fragile and maybe wrong memory. Elusive and vague they fade away into a visual noise displaying their own fundamental instability and the uncertainty of what once seemed to be real.
