DISTORTED IMAGES

The photographs I take while strolling through cities often serve as idea sketches and source material for a multi-stage transformation process. They turn into three-dimensional image objects by using specific image carriers, through the way they are presented, or simple analog interventions such as crumpling, draping, or wallpapering. The limits of the photographic medium are constantly stretched and transcended: originally digital images become unique photographic sculptures, characterized by an analog character and a haptic materiality.
