LOVERS AND DREAMERS

As with the series “Neutral Scenes“, I have partially painted over found image material, originating from a Spanish sex education book of the 1960s. The former love scenes turn into phantasmatic situations, depicting how passionate people embrace the void. They embody the contemporary ideal of an autonomous, free individual – but in a lonely and illusionary sense of the word.
